Our Hippies

These folks are Lauren and Robbie, Lauren is Pat's little cousin whom I adore, yes, she is a hippy, and can be very opinionated at times! ha (to say the least). We have always enjoyed one another, and loved each other immensely, which was hard for her when she found out that yes, I was once a cheerleader, and once owned a Nsync' CD. Lauren and I enjoy sharing stories with one another. I loved that fact that a gained a cousin, when Patrick and I dated. She is one of my true friends, and I feel blessed to have her. Robbie is awesome too. We immediately loved Robbie when we met him, and thought he was sooo perfect for Lauren. Even though you did make Pat, mad when you played Bond. We are thankful for your friendship guys!

Daddy's Birthday

We Celebrated Patrick's Birthday, by going to Wasabi's and having some, oh so delicious sushi! Pat and I love sushi. I do like to stick to the sushi that doesn't have fish eggs, and creepy stuff. We had a great time, we went to Lafayette square hung out and listened to live music at Squires. It was a beautiful night. We were blessed with having the kindest, nicest baby sitter. Miss Serena, praying for you as you settle in your new calling in Utah, Thank you for taking care of our children.

Me in front of the Water fountain, in Lafeyette Square, very relaxing.

Divinely Designed
We had a great time enjoying all the extremely amazing exhibits at the St. L A. M.
Patrick and I enjoy spending hours here, and we could have, had we not had three little ones in tow. Along with soaking up the surroundings we had to say "Don't Touch" many times. The children really started to enjoy the art work, by the end of the day,
Elijah would ask "Mommy does this move you?"
I like best how Francis Shaeffer explains art...
The artist conceives in his thought world, and then he brings forth into the external world. This is true of an artist painting a canvas, a musician composing a piece of music, an engineer designing a bridge, or a flower arranger making a flower arrangement. First there is the conception in the thought world and then a bringing forth into the external world. And it is the same with God. God who existed before had a plan, and He created and caused these things to become objective. Furthermore, just as one can know something very real about the artist from looking at his creation, so we can know something about God by looking at His creation. The Scripture insists that even after the Fall, we still know something about God on this basis. Every piece of work in those galleries is a piece of God's creation. Patrick had an Asian Art, class, and we would come and look at the massive amounts of urns, sculptures in the Asian art section and discuss the history behind these pieces. We took the boys and they really liked the sculptures, so much they wanted to climb them, or fight them and etc.

A New Oil on Canvas at the Museum, "Apollo and Marsyas"

I would like to think that this a man who is like a good Samaritan and is cutting the poor, wretched tied up man loose. I remember how this goes down from mythology class...

Marsyas, found a flute...who thought he produced ever sweeter sounds, happened to meet Apollo and his lyre. He then challenged the god to a musical contest, which took place, some say, in the mentioned city of Nysa. They also agreed that the victor should do what he wished with the defeated.
The contest
Marsyas was defeated.
Having won the contest, Apollo flayed Marsyas alive while the unfortunate musician hanged on a tall pine-tree. And while his skin was stripped off the surface of his body that was but one wound, Marsyas complained:
"Why do you tear me from myself? Oh, I repent! Oh, a flute is not worth such a price!"

If Christianity is really true, then it involves the whole man, including his intellect and creativeness. Christianity is not just "dogmatically" true or "doctrinally" true. Rather, it is true to what is there, true in the whole area of the whole man in all of life. Francis Shaeffer
...and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes;
and there shall no longer
be any death;
there shall no longer be
any mourning, or
crying, or pain;
the first things have
passed away.
-Revelation 21:4

Ellie enjoys the boys toysShe is always playing with her brother's toys, her favorites believe it or not is this fire truck she loves to roll it all over the house and make a (very high pitched) fire truck noise. Also she adores this very scary looking T-Rex, she carries it around like a baby of course, and is very affectionate with it. It has long sharp fangs, and razor sharp claws and has a very loud roar but she loves her little guy anyway. She also, enjoys her little baby doll and her littlelambielove, but these rank right up there! The boys are very kind, to reserve these toys they are "her" toys now.
The three of them play rather nicely together, just today...Ellie was laying on her back drinking a juice, and the boys had a Buzz Lightyear, and a Superman, and they proceeded to play very softly on her tummy. She just layed there and let them use her tummy as a base for Super Heroes. It is so wonderful to see them all get along so well, it is my fervent prayer as they grow up they will continue to love each other and exhibit Agape love for one another, building each other up in Christ.

Itsy-Bitsy Spider
As most of you know the itsy-bitsy spider came for a visit at our house. Ellie ended up with a not so itsy bitsy bite, on her right wrist, possibly from crawling. It did get very infected, and she was a very sick little girl. Thank you all so much for your prayers. She was running a very high fever for 3-4 days, even around 104.1* She had a very quick recovery, Our God is so good, we feel so blessed to have the family, and church family we have, and NO, thankfully it was not a "brown recluse."

J

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

K

King of Kisses
Noah is the MOST affectionate guy ever, it is his love language, he goes around all day kissing me, even his brother, and his little sister. He has made a reputation, as "The Cary Grant."
I certainly enjoy the shower of kisses I get from him.

L

LINCOLN LOGS
Paw Paw, is building a Lincoln Log city here with his favorite little people. I am so proud of Elijah's many engineered homes, he really enjoys building, it is one of his favorite past times.
" Mommy, this house is not built on sinking sand, that's not wise, okay." he said

This is where he builds, when Ellie is crawling and cruising around.

This kid has a gift of building, he is very creative, yet very precise.
