Girl's Night Out

This was so fun, not to be compared to the car ride Home!!!!

Me and Erin

A Lovely Night Out with the Girls!

We went to Busch's Grove, in Ladue, to Celebrate Sue being in Town!
This place is so beautiful and elegant what Fun. We had the best time we laughed so very much and so hard my smile muscles were aching at the end of the night OH baby!

Thank you Ladies!
And Hubby too for being on kiddo watch :)
Busch's Grove, (of Course) Ladue, Missouri, is an Awesome historic site and a focal point in the surrounding community for the past 116 years. The new architect of the building is gorgeous! You have got to go see this place! I especially love the Grove Room with the appeal of iron work and the wine bottles shelved in the sides of the wall. The Cove room was where we dined, the ceiling is covered in like 1,000's of granite stones dangling, and the hall ways have birch lined twig ceilings; very cool!
Since 1896, Busch's Grove has been both a landmark and an upscale gathering place for generations of St. Louisans. They have live music at 8:30 where you can go hang out in Cove/Sushi Bar, and order appetizers and Desserts, that is so appealing to me!!!!

Introducing the Joys of Wilderness

Daddy and Mommy with no sleep next morning at like 6:30 a.m.

They had the best time EVER! And the kids slept great, except Elijah did wake-up once in the middle of the night and stayed up pretty much the rest of the night.

Playing in the Tent at like 6:00 a.m.

Two Brothers one with out Sleep

Our New Tent

One of the beautiful Pavilions in the Park

" Rocky the Nuisance"
Rocky the Raccoon decided to pay our camp a visit while we were all sitting around the picnic table eating, it was dusk and I heard a LOUD hissing behind my back. I turned around and there he was starring me down. Totally charging at me for our food, I picked up the biggest stick I could find and chased him off. He came back like 1 minute later, and continued to do so all night, Pat chased him off with the stick every time, and then after we finally packed away the food he decided to loiter outside of our tent all night. He was curious but not friendly.

In an attempt to feel better, I actually agreed to go camping Friday evening. I actually was feeling better when Pat called late Friday afternoon and said "Do you want to go camping?" I said "Sure" You see....We bought Daddy a new Tent for Father's Day and he was very excited to try it out. We were eager to see how the kiddo's would do...so we decided to go to Babler State Park.....(very local).........So that being said, after not sleeping all night Friday, I was on (Raccoon watch), I am now have my cold again. Aside from the 90* weather and the Raccoon it was a Great time.

"I do the things I don't want to do, and I don't do the things I know I should do."

After a week of fighting off a horrible cold,
Being uncomfortable, exasperated, lying down in a Nyquil Fog
I leave you with this......
Oh my God, look around this place
Your fingers reach around the bone
You set the break and set the tone
Flights of grace, and future falls
In present pain
All fools say, "Oh my God
"Oh my God, Why are we so afraid?
We make it worse when we don't bleed
There is no cure for our disease
Turn a phrase, and rise again
Or fake your death and only tell your closest friend
Oh my God.
Oh my God, can I complain?
You take away my firm belief and graft my soul upon your grief
Weddings, boats and alibis
All drift away, and a mother cries
Liars and fools; sons and failures
Thieves will always say
Lost and found; ailing wanderers
Healers always say
Whores and angels; men with problems
Leavers always say
Broken hearted; separated
Orphans always say
War creators; racial haters
Preachers always say
Distant fathers; fallen warriors
Givers always say
Pilgrim saints; lonely widows
Users always say
Fearful mothers; watchful doubters
Saviors always say
Sometimes I cannot forgive
And these days, mercy cuts so deepIf the world was how it should be, maybe I could get
some sleep
While I lay, I dream we're better,
Scales were gone and faces light
When we wake, we hate our brother
We still move to hurt each other
Sometimes I can close my eyes,
And all the fear that keeps me silent falls below my heavy breathing,
What makes me so badly bent?
We all have a chance to murder
We all feel the need for wonder
We still want to be reminded that the pain is worth the thunder
Sometimes when I lose my grip, I wonder what to make of heaven
All the times I thought to reach up
All the times I had to give
Babies underneath their beds
Hospitals that cannot treat all the wounds that money causes,
All the comforts of cathedrals
All the cries of thirsty children - this is our inheritance
All the rage of watching mothers - this is our greatest offense
Oh my God
Oh my God
Oh my God

Ran into a friend! I have missed for awhile

With Marissa
Running into a dear friend is such a nice feeling. I can not believe how we have lost track with one another. Marissa was a good friend of mine during College. She is a very sweet, mellow, observant, fun girl. I truly miss her presence. I met her at our job. She and I need to find time to get together and catch up! Marissa was a bridesmaid in our wedding. She and I have had some fun times! Miss you girl! xoxoxo

Come and Get your Bowl On!!

"Give me your Forever"

We loved the show. It was a great time spent with one another. The Pageant is a very neat venue. It was built in 2000, as a live music venue, and is very comfortable set up in a cabaret style which is all general admission – tables, rails, chairs and stools. One thing we were not crazy about was the guest artist who was insanely talented...but had such an agenda of politics to cram down the minds of these patrons. Tom Morello was the opening performer and for those of you that do not know who he is....he was in a little band called..Rage against the Machine! He was amazingly talented, and could play a guitar like no one else I have ever seen live. However, he was so adamant about his views it just made me feel like a failure....I wish I had an ounce of the passion he had to put behind the cause of Jesus and be as forthright as he is against the president. On the other hand Ben Harper did share the message that we need the Lord and that he is the only way. On the way home we realized we totally smelled of eau cigarette...and realized coming home at 1:00 a.m. is harder than we thought it would be. All in all it was as a Nate would say......."Good times, good times"!

Ben Harper at the Pageant

We will be at the Pageant (down in the Loop) for this Concert and I am so very thrilled. I really enjoy Ben Harper's music. There is so much brokenness and redemption in the Lyrics. I also subtly see the Glory and Grace of the Lord in His music.

Karen's Eight

The Clubb Family in 2006
The Eight as Listed By: Karen Clubb

8. I have had 6 surgeries in my lifetime, none of them involving childbirth.
7. Over the years I have owned 11 cats. Jim is allergic to them, so we can't have one now.
6. I love Jane Austen. Who doesn't, right?
5. I am a private person. It's one of the reasons I stay away from Bible studies. Too much sharing. (Yeah, shame on me.)
4. I have three children I thought I'd never have. Especially the youngest two.
3. We didn't know Nathan had Down syndrome until after he was born.
2. The only other country I have been to is Canada.
1. I am a total goofball. (I also gotta squeeze this in - Tommy Boy rocks!)

Cheesy Sweaters!

I have been Tagged! I hate Tag!! (By: Patrick)

Ok Beth, I'm being a little extreme with the title, but anyway here I go with the little game:

1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

1. When no one is looking I will sometimes pretend I'm a baseball player and go through the wind-up and pitch an imaginary ball. Of course it's the bottom of the ninth with Runners on and a slim lead for the seventh game of the World Series between the Cardinals and Yankees. I usually end up striking the batter out with my 108 MPH fastball. I don't think even Beth knows that I do this.

2. Many of you know that I recently broke my nose. According to my lovely wife I was "incredibly crabby" during the recovery period and it reminded her of when we were first married and the Rams or Cardinals would lose a game. I've toned down a bit since then (Sports really aren't worth getting a divorce over).

3. I love peaches, apples and cherries, but can't eat them uncooked because I'm allergic.

4. When I was a kid I was accident prone and had to go to the ER several times for the following reasons:
*The scar under my left eye was from when I was 3 and my sister was trying to teach me how to skip... I fell face first into the corner of my parents coffee table.
*In Kindergarten I was hit by a car on my way to the bus stop. I ended up with a hairline fracture.
*In Second Grade a boy purposely tripped me when we were playing dodge ball (I got him out) and I chipped out my front two teeth.
*In Forth Grade the tip of my middle finger on my right hand got cut off by slamming it in my parents back door. At the time I was worried that I'd never be able to be a major league baseball player because of this (and I was right).
*In Seventh Grade I broke my thumb skiing. I was never good at jumps.

5. I have always been able to eat large quantities of food without gaining weight. As I approach my 30s I find that this habit is starting to catch up with me and I switched to drinking Diet Coke (but I still eat like a pig).

6. I am a very competitive person and will fight to the death if I feel that I have been wronged while playing a board game (I've made Beth cry several times).

7. I'm am very mathematically minded and would spend hours looking at the back of baseball cards or my favorite book, Total Baseball, and try to memorize the statistics of my favorite players.

8. One of my favorite movies during my early college years was The Matrix and my emial address was ne0_1978@hotmail.com.

Welp... there you go. Hope it wasn't too long.

I Have Been Tagged! I Love Tag!!

Okay, Thanks Nikki.......Sounds like fun!

Okay Here We Go
I feel like we are playing the "Celebrity Secrets" skit you know the One featured on
Conan O'Brien. Who I would probably have married if I did not find Patrick.
1. I have a strange liking/ Attraction for Christopher Walken. Especially after he did the Fatboy Slim Video. I know it is scary. You can go with this or you could go with that.
2. My somewhat Crush in High School before Patrick was a real winner! His Name was Scott Alexander, I was his Tudor he used to write me notes his pet name for me was "sweet cheeks" However he wrote "Sweat Cheeks" on his notes........LOL I guess it's not surprising because last time I heard he was runner up on OXYGEN"S show Mr. Romance Hosted by FABIO himself...........speechless I know.
3. One of my First Jobs was at drum roll please............Six Flags!!! I was Bugs Bunny...I thought it was going to be great. And then teenagers would come up and kick me and when they found I was a female they would grab me. Luckily I had a Heat Stroke and was free to find a new job. LOL
4. Some of you might not know I was totally athletic through the years...I played every sport....Softball, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Basketball. I like a good game of golf............
Well I have to tell you about the time I was getting ready for my Eighth Grade basket ball game, I was told I could start! I was Thrilled, We were all getting ready with our Jerseys on. I checked out my very meticulous curled up bangs in the mirror totally stoked. We all lined up to go out on the court and run around making our shots and all. I was so happy revving everyone up patting them on the back and etc. We get out on the Court and Wow. I see people all looking at me and smiling.....I am totally eating up. Oh Yeah I am awesome......well apparently not awesome enough to put my uniform shorts on!!! I died of embarrassment, my friends surrounded me and we all ran to the locker room!!!! LOL!! Needless to say, I was a very POPULAR girl after that!
5. I actually believed in Santa Clause until the Fifth Grade. I was at a Slumber Party...Missy Vaughn was the one who told me Santa was not real. I was very heart broken that day. I really wanted to believe in Him. I wanted someone who loved me and brought me presents very badly. People had told me before, I just didn't believe them until then.
6. I grew up wanting to be a Mommy and then a Dr. or a Nurse
I was in Nursing School when we found out we were going to have Elijah. I wanted babies so bad. I was like okay......NO NURSING FOR ME!! YEAH!
7. I actually photoshoped a picture of mine together with Patrick's to see what our baby would look like "If they Mated" You know on Conan O'Brien. LOL Wow! I was scared........It turned out so much better than it could have.
8. I have actually NEVER been up in the St. Louis Arch. I know totally Crazy.......anyone want to go with me?
Okay well....Since I keep my blog Private and really only talk to you all, I cannot tag many more people. However I tagged Pat, and I am going to PEER PRESSURE him into doing it tomorrow. Stay Tuned. Thanks Guys. Try not to tease me to much.

Wow this was a-lot of FUN for me it helped me relax and refresh my mind after a Hectic day of whining, crying, and listening to someone ask me Why 400 times . I have really been feeling worn down lately and I am so thankful to God for these moments when you feel like it is so worth it. Like watching a sleeping baby. I wish I had more of those moments.....you know when they are sleeping!! HA
